The Multi-sided platform provides an innovation eco-system for the plastic industry to drive circular economy. Therefore, all partners will work together in cross-functional teams to create and shape this platform. The Multi-sided Platform represents the projectโs multiplier and ensures the systemic impact. It is intended to scale the innovations and new technologies developed for the entire Swiss plastics market, representing the overarching body of ZeroPol.
Targets
Todayโs plastic industry lacks a unified system that integrates various stakeholders and processes, hindering transparency and collaboration essential for sustainability. Existing solutions often address only isolated aspects of the value chain, leading to inefficiencies and a higher environmental footprint.
To tackle this, our project will develop a comprehensive Multi-sided Platform. This platform will:
- Connect all stakeholders across the plastics value chain, from material suppliers to manufacturers and recyclers.
- Provide tools for real-time data sharing and collaboration, enhancing transparency and decision-making.
- Enable tracking and optimization of materials and processes to reduce CO2 emissions and waste.
- Facilitate the implementation of sustainable practices by offering integrated solutions for eco-design, production, and recycling.
By fostering collaboration and leveraging digital technologies, the platform aims to transform the plastics industry into a more efficient and sustainable system.
