Last week, the second consortium meeting of the Zeropol – ‘TNZPI’ project was held at OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences. The event focused on fostering exchange and collaboration among our research and implementation partners.

A highlight of the day was the poster session, which showcased the progress and initial results of the various subprojects and focus topics. Insights were shared, ideas were exchanged, and multiple points of interest were established among participants, teams, and organisations. This session provided an excellent opportunity for participants to gain knowledge and share valuable input and perspectives. Furthermore, it highlighted the importance of a holistic approach to net zero and large-scale transformational projects.

The afternoon program featured a visit to the IWK Techpark, offering attendees a close look at the practical research involved in a project like Towards a Net Zero Plastics Industry. The targeted innovation and hands-on discussions were showcased within the state-of-the-art facilities in Rapperswil-Jona.

To round the event off, a discussion was held to explore the next optimal actions and align the approaches to reach a systemic impact of a net zero plastics industry in Switzerland.
We extend our gratitude towards OST, and we look forward to the progress of the subprojects and focus topics at the next consortium meeting!
